Sui Dhaaga- “Make in India” story
Sui Dhaaga- Make in India, is a simple comdey- drama film, with Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in the main lead roles. Directed and written by Sharat Katariya, who earlier directed the film “Dum Laga Ke Haisha”, it is movie which aims at promoting the slogan “Make in India” given by our honourable prome minister, Narendra Modi. The duo will be seen on-screen for the first time in this movie whose basis is rooted on the simple life led by the couple. Varun Dhawan(Mauji) plays the role of a tailor and Anushka Sharma, the role of his wife(Mamta) who is an embroidery expert. It is an inspiring story of a hard-working tailor(Mauji), of a small town in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh who initially finds himself in a dillema with the burden of unemployment over his head but soon sees a clear path and is given the idea of employing himself in his own tailoring business by his wife, Mamta after being thrown away from many jobs and insulted for not being able to stand up on his own legs. He then works hard and pursues his dream and passion of tailoring to soon open his own company named “Sui Dhaaga- Make in India” and to find himself proudly posing on the cover page of an international magazine.
“Sui Dhaaga- Make in India”, carries the burden of promoting indigenous industries especially the textile industries in India, an idea which was once propagated by our “Father of the nation-Bapu” in the past and an idea which is now propagated by our prime minister, “Narendra Modi” who aims at making India self reliant which is the main message carried by this movie throughout. This movie promotes social entrepreneurship for the social and economic development for the country. It shows how people can transform “unemployment into self- employment” and can convert things from “impossible to unstoppable”. Therefore backed by a strong cast and by a strong and important message, Sui Dhaaga- Make in India is set to hit the theatres on the 28th of September 2018.
